South Tahoe Vikings Booster Club

STHS Booster Club - Who we are and what we do!

The South Tahoe High School Booster Club is a parent-volunteer organization committed to each student’s educational enrichment and to the school community. The Boosters help raise and allocate funds to enhance academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. During the 22/23 school year, we contributed in excess of $25,000 to STHS classrooms, sports teams, clubs, and extracurriculars! We meet monthly and all are welcome to join us in person in the STHS Library. Please email sths[email protected] to receive email announcements from our Club.

Where: South Tahoe High School Library
When: The second Monday of the month. The Principal's update will be from 5:30 PM - 6:00, followed by the general meeting from 6:00 - 7:00 PM

AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT WE DO

While the Boosters are lucky enough to support many different sports and activities at STHS, one of our major projects for the 22/23 school was the rejuvenation of the South Tahoe High School Quad! Click here to read all about it in South Tahoe Now, and take a look at some pictures from our volunteer days and of the finished results! We are so grateful to all of our sponsors (see the article for details!), and pretty proud of how it turned out and how much utilization the area has already seen by our students!

STVBC Funding Guidelines

  •  Boosters entertain requests from all aspects of the school community. This includes Academics, Athletics, Clubs, Homecoming, Senior Class activities, and student health and well-being, so long as the activity or need is sanctioned by LTUSD.

  •  Sports Funding Requests are considered for reusable equipment/items that will benefit the sport for multiple years. Maximum requests of $1,200 will be considered. The varsity coach must be the requesting party and submit the request via the Sports Funding Request Form, sent via email to all coaches prior to their season.

  • Academic/Club/General Funding Requests should be made on that specific form, and not the Sports Funding Request form. Maximum requests of $1,200 will be considered.

  • If funding is granted by Boosters, you understand that it will be your responsibility to provide two (2) people to fill two (2) volunteer shifts at the Annual Boosters Club Golf Tournament Fundraiser. The date of this event is not known until Edgewood determines it for us. It will take place in the Spring of 2024, shortly after the golf course opens. Students may be considered acceptable volunteers, if you recommend them, though a student’s schedule and the availability of age-appropriate shifts can be limiting factors.

  • All funding requests are considered, though not all may be something we can satisfy. The majority of our funding budget comes directly from the Annual Boosters Club Golf Tournament as well as grants.

While we would like to sprinkle money everywhere, we are interested in providing funding where it is needed most, where it makes a meaningful difference, and we will do our best to help when we are asked.
