Welcome to our Student Information page! This is your go-to resource for information you need for parking permits, work permits, Aeries access, Canvas access and more. Work Permits
Work permits are available at the Front Office or ask for Mrs. Tannaci in the Career and College Center in the Library.
Students must be hired at a job before obtaining a work permit, but cannot start work until permit is complete.
All Work Permits must be filled out in full by the student/ parent and hiring manager and turned into Mrs. Tannaci for Administration to sign.
Once signed, a copy will be kept for STHS records and the student will need to take the permit to their hiring manager.
Parking Permits
All students who wish to park on campus must have a valid South Tahoe High School parking pass.
To apply, students should first gather the required documents: a valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance, and current vehicle registration. Applications are completed online by scanning the QR code and uploading these documents.
Once approved, students will pick up their parking permit at the attendance office and must display the pass in their rearview mirror at all times.
Students may begin parking in their assigned parking spot starting Week 3 (9/8). Click here to sign up!
Parking Requirements
Parking at STHS is a limited resource, with only 219 total spaces available for students; this includes paid senior parking spots. In order to ensure that this limited resource is used effectively and fairly, STHS will be implementing clear requirements for parking during the 2026–2027 school year. One of the most important indicators of student success is attendance. Because of this, attendance will directly impact parking eligibility. These requirements are designed to ensure that parking spaces are utilized by students who are regularly attending school and arriving to class on time.
2026-2027 Parking Information:
- Every single year, student drivers will be required to provide a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and a school-issued parking permit in order to park on campus.
- Any student who accumulates more than 4 full-day unexcused absences or 16 total period cuts (resulting in less than 95% attendance) between March 2nd and the end of the 25/26 school year will be ineligible to obtain a parking permit. This includes current Juniors applying for paid parking spots for their Senior year.
- Attendance tracking for parking eligibility will begin on March 2nd and continue through the end of this school year.
- Senior parking sign-ups for paid spots will begin on June 1st. There are 82 paid, paintable senior spots available for purchase for seniors. More information on this will be coming out shortly from ASB.
- All 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students will be able to apply for a parking spot during the first three weeks of the 2026–2027 school year; however, attendance from the prior school year will be reviewed to determine eligibility.
The attendance eligibility requirement applies to all parking spots, including senior paid spots as well as non-senior spots in both the upper and lower student parking lots. In addition, this attendance expectation will be held throughout the next school year, and students who drop below 95% attendance will be at risk of having their parking privileges revoked.
